The City of Thompson, Manitoba, Selects Cloudpermit for Modernized Building Permitting

Manitoba’s largest city in the Northern Region of the province, the City of Thompson, uses Cloudpermit for a modernized building permit process. The City’s over 13,000 residents can apply for building permits at any time, from anywhere, and schedule building inspections online.

Cloudpermit’s building permitting solution makes building inspections easier. Staff can conduct inspections in the field from any mobile device. This saves them from traveling to the office to input their notes in their government’s paper-based or legacy system. Residents receive notifications when the status of their building inspection changes which improves transparency into where their permit stands.

Staff can dispatch inspectors to properties that require an inspection. They can also use the software to require additional inspections. Online and accessible information helps make inspections more efficient.
