The City of Fruita, CO, Moves Building Permits Online with Cloudpermit

The City of Fruita, Colorado, has chosen Cloudpermit as its software for an online building permit process. The City has a small-town feel with larger-town amenities, as well as access to many outdoor recreational activities. The approximately 13,500 residents that live in Fruita can soon benefit from online building permits.

Cloudpermit allows building departments to access and store data online instead of using paper at the office. Since it is cloud-based software, staff can access information from anywhere, anytime. Data is automatically saved in real-time, so it is protected from physical risks and easy to find when needed.

This also allows government staff to cut down on printing costs and administrative time spent organizing files. Filters can be used to quickly sort through building permits and inspection results can be found on mobile phones, computers, or tablets.
