City of North Mankato Partners with Software Company, Cloudpermit

The City of North Mankato, Minnesota, partnered with software company, Cloudpermit, for simplified building permits. The community has many parks and trails for its over 14,000 residents.

Cloudpermit allows users to communicate with each other online. Citizens can send and receive time-stamped direct and group messages. By moving conversations away from hard-to-track phone calls and emails into one digital space, community members can better understand each other. Transparency improves as a result.

This is especially helpful if a staff member is sick or away on vacation. Traditionally, if a staff member is absent, so is their information. Cloudpermit ensures staff can remain involved and informed online, regardless of who is available to help residents with their building permits.
