Squamish-Lillooet Regional District in B.C. Selects Cloudpermit
The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District in southwestern B.C. selected Cloudpermit to bring building permits online. The approximately 42,665 residents in Squamish-Lillooet's four member municipalities (Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish) and four unincorporated electoral areas (A, B, C, D) can soon enjoy online building permit submissions.
Cloudpermit forces applicants to fill in all mandatory data entry fields so building departments only receive complete building permit applications. This saves time for applicants and government staff because less time needs to be spent on finding missing information. Staff can determine what information and documents are required from an applicant, so they always receive exactly what is needed.
The software also allows residents to stay updated on the status of their application and inspection. Cloudpermit automatically sends updates to all those involved so no one needs to call in to find out where their permit or inspection stand in the process.
Cloudpermit looks forward to bringing online building permitting to this beautiful community and inspiring more local governments across the province to adopt a digital development approval process.
