Staff Accountant - Accounts Receivable
Cloudpermit is hiring a full-time Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable. The candidate should be able to work independently, while still collaborating frequently with the CFO and Financial Analyst(s).
The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable role is to manage and monitor the accounts receivable invoicing and collection efforts of the company. There will be an opportunity for growth and exposure to other areas of accounting once the Staff Accountant-Accounts Receivable essential duties and responsibilities have been mastered.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create invoices, send invoices to customers, request payments, and arrange payment plans when necessary.
- Apply cash receipts to customer account balances and reconcile daily
- Review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports weekly.
- Own the collection efforts, including customer emails, calls, and coordination of statements and overdue notices.
- Update client accounts based on payment or contact information.
- Update written procedures related to collections and accounts receivable processes. Develop recommendations for process improvements.
- Facilitate recurring A/R meetings and record agreed actions and follow-ups.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the CFO, Financial Analyst, Customer Success, and Implementation teams, to streamline collection efforts.
- Participate in key areas of month-end close and gain exposure to full-cycle accounting.
- Additional duties and projects related to the overall financial analysis of the business.
Qualifications, Skills, and Past Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent accounting experience required.
- 2-3 years of work experience in a Staff Accountant or Accounts Receivable role.
- Experience using QuickBooks and Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Expertise using MS Office suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working for a software or software-as-a-service company preferred.
