Boone County, Illinois, launched Cloudpermit, cloud-based e-permitting software, Tuesday, April 13, 2021, to deliver safer, easier, and more efficient building permit processes to its community.
We were blown away by the Cloudpermit software, and we’re anticipating our community will be, too,” explained Drew Bliss, Senior Building Inspector for Boone County, Illinois. “We’re excited to give Boone County remote access to the building permit lifecycle with the ability to submit, track, and pay for permits online with access to information in real-time.”
The northern county will enable its population of nearly 55,000 residents to leave paper behind for permit applications and inspections.
Since everything is digital with Cloudpermit, residents can request inspections and we can use time-stamped messages to communicate with them online for easier coordination,” said Bliss. “As cloud-based software, inspectors have access to all inspection data in the field which is a game-changer for how we conduct inspections.”
