Ontario has taken urgent actions to combat the rising COVID-19 numbers within the province by implementing province-wide restrictions with an extended Stay-at-Home order. As of Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 12:01am, Ontario has added new restrictions to its declaration of emergency and extended the Stay-at-Home order until Thursday, May 20, 2021.
All non-essential workplaces in the construction sector have been closed.
Construction on shopping malls, hotels, and office towers have been deemed non-essential, while construction on health care, long-term care, and residential housing are permitted to continue under the new restrictions – learn more here.
